\nWith this in mind, the Munich Student Union intends to renovate the \u201cOrange Haus\u201d in the student city of Freimann. The 12-storey building from the 1970s no longer meets today's standards in terms of technical and building physics requirements and accessibility.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/a><\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>In a first step, the entrance areas will be rearranged and the accessibility will be improved with two new elevators. On the first floor, the existing orange fa\u00e7ade needs to be refurbished to make it more energy-efficient and office space will be created for the administration. On the upper floors, the design envisages bringing the fa\u00e7ade forward to the outer edge of the existing balconies in order to achieve the required size of the student apartments and to create a thermal bridge-free outer skin. Student flats will be set up at the ends of the building. In addition, each storey will have communal areas in which the existing fa\u00e7ade will be refurbished in terms of energy efficiency and the balconies will be retained. The communal zones are thus also clearly visible in the external fa\u00e7ade.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
